Abstract : The academic institutions do a great effort in qualifying librarians and information specialists and provide the community with outcomes of academically qualified graduates to enter the labor market, but the successive developments in the information sector and the changes in the specialty, which in turn led to change and development of libraries and information; and even changed the names of some sections, these developments led to an increasing need for attention by providing continuing educational programs in the field of library and information, and so that old and new graduates follow the latest developments in the area of their specialization, which reflected positively on the performance of their tasks more efficiently. And This study seeks to identify those parties which provide continuing educational programs for librarians and information specialists within the Kingdom, and determine the adequacy and efficiency of these programs that they offer, as the study seeks to determine the extent of interest in libraries and information centers to develop male and female workers, and the ways in which these parties in order to achieve so, and measure equal development opportunities offered by these parties for women just as offered opportunities for men.
