Abstract : Know this study systems expert Vetodh concept and its history and its components and types pointing to applications in different thematic areas, including the field of library and information also measure the extent of this technology in libraries Jeddah during reconnaissance field conducted by researcher on a sample landing from these libraries numbered twelve library. The study results stating that the use of expert systems in Jeddah city libraries until the present time, and not planning a large percentage of libraries for the introduction of this technology to it in the future to many factors, most notably the lack of familiarity with staff and their lack of experience. The study recommended attention be directed based on the libraries about expert systems technology to achieve effectiveness in the delivery of services to beneficiaries, in addition to providing workers' efforts and expenses bodies.
