Abstract : Intermolecular interactions in ethylene glycol-ethanol mixtures at 30°C were studied using density, viscosity and dielectric constant data in the calculation of the excess volume ∆ V_M12^E , deviation in the molar viscosity ∆η_M12 ,Gibbs free energy of flowing G*E and deviation in the dielectric constant ∆D. The presence of a pronounced minimum in ∆ V_M12^E values and a maximum in ∆η_M12 values and a great variation in the value of both G*E and ∆D at XEG ≈0.5 , gave an indication to the probability of the existence of the molecular complex (1EG:1EtOH). The conductance of Et4NBr, Et4NI, Pr4NI, Bu4NI, HexxNI and Et4NCIO4 were reported in the two simple solvents at 32°C, while the conductance of the iodide salts were reported in ethylene glycol-ethanol mixtures at the same temperature. The data were analyzed by Fuoss equation (1980) and all the used salts were found to be associated. The variation of Walden product with the solvent composition for each salt was used to prove the importance of ionic solvation in the interpretation of the data and to calculate the single ion conductance of ion and the used cations in the protic-protic (EG-EtOH) mixtures at 30°C applying Sadek and Hafez method.
