Abstract : Accreditation is one of the future challenges faced by university graduates in general; has therefore created a Ministry of Higher Education The National Organization for the Assessment and Accreditation for the assistance of academic departments that meet the requirements of this provision has also developed standards regarding the scientific sections are evaluated in accordance with them. And sections of libraries and information in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between the sections to which they apply these standards; the current study, therefore, proceeded to examine the extent to which these sections of the national standards body, has also tried to identify the location of these national standards to international standards of the specialty. The study applied descriptive and analytical approach based on a questionnaire prepared depending on the model program specification developed by the National Organization as a tool for all data, as well as departmental publications and information available on their websites. The study found a set of conclusions, including: that the sections of libraries and information Arabia has a lot of the elements required to obtain accreditation, but you only need a lot of procedures governing the work in accordance with the requirements of the evaluation criteria, that the core standards of the National Authority for Assessment and Accreditation in accordance with international standards in the specialty of libraries and information, and does not suit the description of the model programs developed by the National Authority for Assessment and Accreditation for conformity with the standards that are calendar programs accordingly. The study also recommended a set of recommendations, including: the need to modify the model developed by the National Authority for Assessment and Accreditation, and the need to contribute to bodies outside the university students of the various programs in the periodic review of programs, and planning of the objectives it seeks to achieve, and that the Association of Library and Information Arabia its role in the adoption of model of body and modify it, commensurate with the international standards of specialization, so that the Assembly entrusted with the granting of credit for the sections of Saudi Arabia and the follow-up. The study also recommended certain actions that contribute to get the sections on Academic Accreditation by the Commission (calendar programs, and evaluating faculty, and learning outcomes)
