The research is meant to address the book (Wish and Hopeالمنية والأمل in the explanation of the book Faith and Creedsالملل والنحل)by Ahmed bin Yahay Al-Murtadah (died 480H). This book is considered to be one of the main works in the field of faith and creeds. I have followed the historical descriptive and analytical approach to address this book. The research comprises an introduction, two sections and a conclusion. The introduction deals with the importance of the book، and the reasons for selecting it, and the approach taken. Then, prefacing to the research, I have spoken about the Hadeeth of SEPARATION and the SAVED SECT(حديث الإفتراق والفرقة الناجية). I have mentioned the Mu'tazilas names and the reasons for calling them so.Then I divided the research into two chapters. The first chapter introduces the author and the book. It comprises two sections: the first section deals with details about the author including his era, his personal life, his scientific life, and his political life. In the second section, I address the manuscript copies and prints of the book. The second chapter of the research is about the thoroughly studied version.I conclude the research by including findings and recommendations, and a list of sources and references. Finally،I include the general indexes. The book is an important reference in its field. Its author is Zaidi.He mentioned the four senior Caliphs in the first category of the Mu'tazilas' categories. He elevated the Caliph Ali bin Abi Talib،believing that whoever believes in Imamah, is of the saved group, whether from the Zaidi or Mu'tazilas or others. He believed that the family members of the Prophet (peace be upon him) were Ali, Fatimah and their offspring only, whereaswives and relatives were out of the equation. But he still sees their superiority over the rest of the nation. |
