Abstract : In the current report, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste has been collected from different sources, mainly, beverages and bottled water. Recycling of this waste is intended to be achieved through degrading trans-esterification reactions with different glycols. The obtained glycolized products will be converted into unsaturated polyester (UP) after the reaction of the obtained glycolized products with different glycols and dicarboxylic acids. The obtained UP will be characterized and the ability of utilization of the obtained UP will be exemplified by an application. The conditions of the exemplifying application will be tried to be optimized.
