Abstract : The importance of space inside and outside the building is equivalent to the importance of mass itself, as the artist became more interested in how to shape space considering that it can be formed and molded just like mud. Also, the importance of space and its contents enables us to deal with bodies to be suitable with other natural elements, as the space without the elements is considered empty and void. The shapes in the space activate and define this space. The space is found between and among shapes, a matter that enables us to acknowledge it and see its beauty and limits, since the three dimensioned shape is never complete with space. So, the researcher discussed the subject of the intentional using of space and vacuity as an element of the composing elements of the modern sculpture as a title for a master in sculpture in which the study was divided into six sections: In the first chapter the research discussed background and its problem then its assumptions and aim, after that she discussed research limits and methodology. She also presented the plan of the research and the vocabularies and concepts, and then she presented the related studies. In the second chapter she discussed the fourth dimension in designing spaces as she discussed time and place and motion in the Dignified Qura'an and the development of time concept and its dimensions. She also dealt with the fourth dimension in the concept of futurism and finally she discussed the relation between time and place and visual conception in space sculpture. In the third chapter she dealt with space forming and sculpture. In the beginning, she discussed replacing the space which was prevailed in the ancient arts until the era before the twentieth century. Then she discussed space shaping and sculpture which the following schools employed. These schools are Cubism, Futurism, structural geology, and abstractionism and Seriali as they treated space. In the fourth chapter she discussed the role of technology in space sculpture and its role in the works of ARTCHPINCO and PITCHONI and
