Abstract : This study discusses Da'an peace treaty and its effect on ottoman – Imam Yahia ibn Hameed addein conflict. It covers the period from the commencement of Imam reign in Yemen in 1322H (1904) till Ottoman forces withdrawal in 1337H (1918). It also tackles Da'an agreement which was made between Ottoman State and Imam Yahia in 1321H (1911), get acquainted with terms, results and consequences of that agreement on Ottoman conflict in Yemen. The scientific subject of the study is divided into introduction, preface, three parts, conclusion and annexes. The introduction points out the study's significancy, objectives, grounds on which the subject being selected, difficulties faced, and the most important sources relied on, and scientific method, ie historical scientific method. Then research and analysis, then a preface discussing Ottoman – Imam Mansour conflict between 1307H – 1323H (1890 – 1904). The first part discusses Imam Yahia's rule, annihilation of his rivals, fighting against Ottoman state and his alliance with Sayd Mohamed Idressi in Asir. The second part concentrates on considering Ottoman – Imam Yahia agreement 1329H (1911), factors helped in making such agreement, and its terms and results. The third part discusses consequences of Da'an agreement on the Yemeni political situation, including Imam Yahia's conflict with Mohammed Idressi, the former's stand to wards first world war, besides Britan's stand to wards Imam Yahia and Ottoman withdrawal from Yemen. The study reached to many results, summed up in the conclusion. But the most important result is that Da'an's agreement had provided Yemen with part of its political independence, which gradually led to complete independence, and recognition as a free Arab state.
