This study aimed to identify the relationship between future anxiety and psychological adjustment to ascertain the extent of predictability to future anxiety from the psychological adjustment, and know of the differences between high and low psychological adjustment in future anxiety and know the differences in future anxiety among students in undergraduate majors, the study of the phenomenon psychological and described quantitatively and qualitatively, The study was carried out on a sample of students (162) students, (54) students from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of King Abdul Aziz, and (54) students of the Faculty of Science, King Saud University, and (54) students from Dammam Technical College, and the researcher used measure of future anxiety prepared by Almshyekhi (2009) and a measure of psychological adjustment Prepared by Chouqair (2003), and after calculating the validity and reliability the researcher used Arithmetic means, standard deviations, correlation coefficients, Simple linear regression, T.test One Way Anova, scheffe, T.test, and found out that the there is a negative correlation between the scores of students in the future anxiety and scores in the psychological adjustment, and that it can predict with future anxiety of During psychological adjustment, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students with high psychological adjustment and the mean scores of students with low psychological adjustment, and that there were no statistically significant differences between the students of Faculty of Arts and Humanities and College students of science and college students of technical future anxiety except the second subtest of negative perception of life and in favor of the Technical College, Through the results of the study, the researcher rec are a number of recommendations, including, encouraging students to education and professional work through discussion and the establishment of seminars and lectures that contribute to change misconceptions, and switch culture deactivated for professional work and look at the employer professional view of pride, and attention to students and provide psychological support to achieve them psychologically optimism and thinking about the future in a positive way. |
