Abstract : The research comes under the title: Ethics between steadiness and change (critical study comparing between the Islamic and the western thought), this study includes an introduction, six chapter's conclusion and indexes. The first chapter defines the Ethics as a science, its significance and its relation to other sciences, such as doctrine, philosophy, psychology. Pedagogy and sociology .chapter two Examines the issue of the nature of human creation from the perspective of the Islamic thought and the western thought, citing views of the both parties, also the principles of Ethics and giving models of Ethical principle chapter three discusses. Ethical obligation and its sources showing the mechanism of obligating the individual by any morality through intellectual theorizing followed by the coming out of action to the practical reality from the will and capacity, after feeling responsibility , then it investigates the sources of obligation in the Islamic thought and the western thought. Chapter four is on the issue of stability which examines the question of improvement and distortion because of its deep relation to the issue of stability and changes of ethics, giving models of advanced and contemporary Muslim, scholars. Chapter five investigates the issue of stability and change of ethics in the western thought, trough the study of models of models of their different ethical schools that have pro found impact in shaping the structure of the contemporary western societies chapter six is a critical study comparing between the nature of human Ethics, Ethical obligation and the issue of stability and change of Ethics in Islamic thought and the western thought. The conclusion of the research in an abstract of the findings and recommendations of the study.
