Abstract : This research aims to study the actual partnership through communication via electronic forums of boys primary schools in Makkah Province. The researcher uses the descriptive analytical method to describe the actual use of electronic forums in a sample of (10) boys schools in the cities of Makkah and Jeddah, that have electronic forums. The tools that are used in the research include a questionnaire to determine the sample of schools that have active electronic forums on their websites, and a questionnaire for school employees and parents to know their perspectives regarding communication via electronic forums. Data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively calculating means, standards deviation and rankings. The researcher results indicate that all school employees and parents agreed that electronic forum is important in activating the partnership and communication between home and school to support the educational process. Also, communication via electronic forums prevails over obstacles of traditional communication between home and school. The researcher proposes a framework for an educational electronic forum that supports the partnership and communication between home and school clarifying the mechanism that should be followed to activate the forum. the researcher concluded with recommendations including: raising the awareness of the importance of using electronic communication between home and school in Saudi Arabia, developing standard specifications for electronic forums for schools. Moreover, the researcher recommends further research studies in evaluation the effectiveness of using electronic communication in educational institutions.
