Abstract : The Capet family is a seasoned family and is amongst the well-known families that ruled France over many centuries . Louis VII who is currently covered in this research descends from this family. Louis VII lived in his childhood in the church of Saint-Denis, and merged in the monastic life, and it was far from the field of political life, but the death of his brother Philip, Crown Prince of France had forced his father for appointing him as crown prince, and then Louis VII was forced to engage in political life against his will . Louis VII married Eleanor of Aquitaine, and their marriage was able to combine the property sector of the richest sectors of Europe at that time . At the beginning of Louis's rule of France he faced several problems in the period from (1137 AD / 531 AH ) to the year (1144 AD / 538 AH) , which ended by the disaster and burning of Vitry city, therefore, it was necessary for him to atone for his sins. Moverover, he found the right opportunity to take part in the Second Crusade in ( 1147 AD / 541 AH ) which went to the East . Louis VII was one of the reasons that led to the failure of the Crusade, which lead to a number of conclusions, the most important was his separation from his wife Eleanor, who married Henry II of Anjou right after her divorce and thus actin came out from the French border, and entered into her new husband’s borders . After Henry II took the throne of England (1154 AD / 548 AH ) , Louis VII entered into many confrontations against him , these confrontations had an impact on France and England at the same time, Lewis took revenge for himself by annexation of the sons of Henry II and his wife Eleanor to lead the plot to overthrow Henry II. Henry II discovered the plot and threw Eleanor in prison for fifteen years. In spite of his attempts to reunite his children again; Louis succeeded in achieving his goal in scattering Henry's family, in spite of the death of Louis VII in ( 1180 AD / 576 AH ), but his son Philip II August ( 1180 -1223 AD / 576 -619 AH ) had marched on his father's approach, France and England had been in war that lasted for a long time .
