Abstract Words function on the architecture of the Quran "Study in the light of the theory of semantic fields". This research addresses the terms of the "architecture" in the Holy Quran, aiming to apply the semantic field theory and its implications, to highlight the semantic relations between these words and what is based on it, in the semantic field dictionarys production, which helps in detecting the nuances or Synonyms. This study consisted of an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. Chapter I: The theoretical framework of research. Chapter II: The field of Architecture words in the Holy Quran. Chapter III: The field of Urban words in the Holy Quran. Chapter IV: The field of construction and building materials words in the Holy Quran. After defining the concept of "Architecture" with its linguistic and theological sides, the researcher found that the architectural words that the Holy Quran has addressed are fully true, real and are not limited to the physical manifestations, but rather acquired the Islamic attitude that characterizes the Muslim, by studying 137 Architectural words in the Holy Quran. The study also concluded that the architectural words in the Holy Quran constitute a very high percentage of the total number of words, by following the Quranic interpretations in general and the explanatory statements in particular; this indicates the direct relationship in the weighting of some of the words meanings and their characteristics that link them with the words of architecture. The study also tried to link the words of architecture with modern semantic theories, by dividing these words into the inventory fields with all of its functions, and then dividing them into the domains within the basic unit, and the study of semantic relations between them through the semantic fields theory and formative analysis. |
