Alaki Dr. Lana Shawwa Dr. Ara Tekian Dr. Yoon Soo Park Introduction: Medical and dental schools generally offer acceptance to applicants based on their previous academic performance typically assessed through students’ grade point average (GPA). Although preadmission GPA has been shown to be the best predictor of future academic performance, it can only explain some of the variability in medical school performance and less so in postgraduate performance. In dealing with patients, attributes other than cognitive skills are needed for success including professionalism, conscientiousness, communication skills, extraversion, agreeableness and academic integrity. Aim: this research was aimed at studying the association between dental students performance in preadmission interviews and their perception and violations to academic integrity. Methods: This cross-sectional study included two cohorts of dental students; those admitted to King Abdulaziz University Faculty of Dentistry during the academic year 2016 and those during 2017. All admitted students entered OSCE-like interviews (Multiple Mini Interviews) which consisted of several stations designed to measure specific soft skills. Students’ performance at the interviews were correlated to their perception and violations to academic integrity as measured by the McCabe academic integrity questionnaire. Results: a total of 160 students joined the interviews during 2016 and 150 during 2017. During the year 2016 The data showed that despite lack of statistical significance the overall and station MMI scores were negatively associated with the average academic integrity scores (p<0.537). The negative association indicates that students with higher MMI scores generally had better perception of academic integrity. The data also showed that the overall MMI scor
