Abstract : Early childhood is a vital stage in a child's development. Therefore, attention should be devoted to all the aspects in this early stage particularly health-related. The first step for a child to help their society as a future leader would be joining a kindergarten. Providing a healthy environment for children would play a major role in upbringing a healthy generation. Accordingly, caring for their personal hygiene would prevent the spreading of bacterial diseases. An important part of children’s personal hygiene is their clothes, so the fabrics their clothes are made of should be cared for greatly. This research aims to identify the characteristics of antibacterial fabrics, use them in designing clothes for kindergarteners. These clothes are finished commercially using safe technology. The research followed the experimental method by conducting laboratory tests on the following fabrics (cotton/polyester blended, cotton, and bamboo) treated with silver, determining their effectiveness against bacteria. The possibility of using these fabrics in the kindergarten stage was also investigated. The research also followed the semi-experimental method through the use of questionnaires and surveys. The results showed that there is a statistically significant difference between the properties of the silver-treated fabrics depending on the concentration of silver. Cotton/polyester blended fabrics exhibited adequate antibacterial properties. According to the survey among professionals and mothers, there are statistically significant discrepancy at the level of (0.05) between the proposed designs regarding performance and aesthetic attributes. The best designs are the fourth design for females and the seventh design for males. The research recommended conducting experimental studies on the antibacterial fabrics treated with different minerals, such as zinc and copper. Knowing their resistance to bacteria, they are suitable to be clothes for kindergarteners.
