Abstract : This study aimed to know the reality of the use of knowledge generation processes in the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, identify the methods and techniques used in generating knowledge in the ministry, and present a knowledge model that contributes to enhancing the knowledge generation process in the ministry. The study used the content analysis approach to analyse intellectual production, and the case study approach to study the reality of knowledge generation in the Ministry of Hajj. The sample included 100 employees of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in addition this study used Delphi method to verify the knowledge generation model by distributing a questionnaire for 9 experts specialized in the fields of knowledge management and information technology. Among the most prominent results of the study, the results showed that the reality of the use of knowledge generation processes in the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is very high, and that the most used method of generating knowledge in the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah was the brainstorming method, contracting with consulting companies and conducting dialogue sessions. The results also showed that the most used knowledge generation techniques included collaborative programs, the use of databases of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the use of e-mail, finally the use of wearable RFID smart chip sensors. In public and private organizations to achieve competitive advantage. The study also came up with a proposed cognitive model for knowledge generation processes that includes smart methods and techniques. The study recommended adopting the proposed knowledge model in the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and similar organizations to meet the needs of pilgrims and improve the service of pilgrims.
