Abstract : Toxicity by heavy metals is a matter of concern after different outbreaks occurred in several locations in the world and which became a problem concerning not only industrial countries, but developing countries as well. Therefore, determination of the levels of some heavy metals in some Egyptian fishes collected from different localities (Damietta, port-Said, Hourghada, Suez, Ismalia and Alexandria) respectively two different environments, the Mediterranean and the Red Sea were studied. Alexandria showed the highest mean level of copper (1.58 mg/kg) and manganese (0.32 mg/kg). Demietta recorded the highest mean leavel of cadmium (0.04 mg/kg) and iron (8.62 mg/kg). Port-Said samples contained the highest mean level of zinc (4.30 mg/kg). Ismailia recorded the highest mean level of lead (0.69 mg/kg). Hourghada recorded the highest mean level of chromium (0.41 mg/kg).
