Abstract : Considerably, designing and planning a course is one of the most important commitments of a member of a staff in a university; as he is fully responsible about designing, changing or modifying a course for effectiveness. The study aims at stating the commitments for designing the courses. It will decide the needs of the members of the staff of the Women's Colleges of Education for designing and achieving the courses and the study presents the best suggested procedures to fulfill that. The Descriptive analytical procedure is used in presenting the data which is based on the previous studies. Moreover, it reaches to the following:- The commitments are as: The awareness of the member of the staff of the standard of the students and their previous Knowledge. Molding and limiting the objectives of the course The organization of the content of the course in an appropriate climate. Preparing helpful suitable educational aids and choosing methods of teaching. Assessing the course by varied procedures.Using different methods of evaluation in evaluating students' achievement. . The gradation of needs for the member of the staff in designing and planning a course is as follows:-The organization of the content of the course comes first. Secondly, the evaluation of the students achievement. Thirdly, the course assessment. Fourthly, the preparation of the goals of the course. Fifthly, the commitment of the course. Sixthly, the deviation of the content of the course. Seventhly, the choice of the appropriate methods of teaching. Eighthly, the choice of the appropriate source of leaning and education.And finally, preparing the best aids for learning and education. In spite of the significance of the above mentioned commitments, yet most of the members of the staff in women's colleges lack the ability to plan and design programs to cope with those needs. . The best ways to develop the member of the staff is to establish a specialized centre in women's colleges to fulfill such needs. It will be responsible to develop the achievement of the member of the staff for academic and educational purposes.
